Thesis installation is very easy. Here I help you to set up Thesis quickly.

Last post dealt with WordPress Themes. I mentioned I will buy The Thesis Theme for my new blog. Now it is time to install Thesis!

How to install WordPress Thesis theme?

As I said yesterday I decided to buy Thesis theme to my new blog. Now I have to install Thesis. What were the steps?

I go to my Web host login page (I use cheap and good JustHost Web Hosting)
I click on “files” and then “filesmanager”
I go to folder: “wp-content/themes” (there are two WordPress themes ready: “twentyeleven” and “twentyten”).
I click on “Upload” -page and search for my file thesis182.zip. I upload the file to my “wp-content/themes” -folder.
I see thesis_182.zip on “wp-content/themes” -folder. I click on this file once and click on “Extract” -button. I extract this thesis theme to my “wp-content/themes” – folder. Remember to press “Reload” -button. After that you can see thesis182 -theme on your “themes” -folder
Locate the “/custom-sample” folder and change its name to “custom”.
Change permissions. Go to my new “custom” -folder. Click on “custom.css” -file and change the permissions to 666.
Change permissions again. Change the permissions of the “/custom/cache” -folder to 775.
I go to my “WordPress dashboard”. I click on “Appearance” and then “Themes”. I activate Thesis -theme.
I have installed Thesis Theme for WordPress! Next step is to configurate Thesis.
